Allow me to make an argument for why you absolutely should read your manual. If you strictly rely on what others tell you, inevitably you will get erroneous information. There is a reason why the manual gives specifications for your car and there is a reason why it warns you to not overfill. Do a little homework on this and if you still decide to put in more oil then the manual specifies, then that's OK becuase afterall, it's your car.
