Depends on the size of the puncture and where it's located. See the following, especially the 4th paragraph down:

Puncture Repairs

Good luck with the tire.

Yes the Goodyear EMTs can be repaired but this would depend on how severe the damage is.

Another very informative article from Randy. As the article states, some manufacturers of run-flats say that their tires are incapable of being repaired after any run-flat incident.

Thay can be fixed but not if its through the sidewall

I'd check out other places. You can get an OEM replacement for less than $550. I got one at Discount Tires for $360.

If it can't be repaired $550 is highway robbery. Check around for a better price. Try Tire Rack or your local Goodyear dealer.

Great article and it's basically saying you can go waayyy farther than the 200 miles, that's just a safety-margin number, and I can tell you my c5 will only see the OEM tires. I just had my right reare repaired (again!) and it had two nails in it this time, and had only leaked down to 23lbs. and with any other tire the rim would eat the sidewall with low pressure, plus I'm sure its harder to have a blowout on a Goodyear EMT. Damn the road noise, damn the screws, nails, razorbroadhead arrows, longswords, pitchforks, butcher knives, and chainsaws, because I got run-flats!

I had a nail through my Left rear near the side wall. Could not be repaired. GY wanted $$ + but got a pair from Tire Rack delivered for $800 and installed locally for $60.
In my opinion EMT (run flats) are the only way to guy. Noise ? who cares. If you can't affored the tires buy a Honda Civic

The ULTIMATE corvette tax. $550 for a tire is nothing short of CRAZY!

That just about $50 less than two new rear GY GS-D3's for the rears and $10 for a plug kit!

A buddy of mine is running OEM C6 wheels and the regular (not the Z51 EMT's) He has told me that they are much quieter and much better traction wise than the C5 EMT's - but still suck in the rain.

Personally - I'm running Michelin PS2's and I love them. They are great in the rain (although many of us will never know that!) and with my stock (except for intake and exhaust) LS1 are very grippy in the dry.

I truly believe that there are those of us that should have runflats - if you are driving the car as a daily driver, and routinely traveling on congested freeways or in desolate areas where having to wait for assistance or fixing the tire to become mobile again is an issue - then an EMT is the way to go. If my wife were driving the car all the time - I'd want her to have some kind of run flat - probably the Michelin Pilot Sport ZP.

But for me - I'm extremely happy with the tires I have.

If the puncture is not in the sidewall or close to it, the EMT can be repaired. Use a plug and patch method and it should be fine. Even if it needs to be replaced, $550 is way too high. Check with the Tire Rack for good prices on EMTs.
