I'm doing my install of new sound/Video system and have everything connected and in place. I've gone down into the passenger floorboard in search of the illusive ' Accessory' wire and can't find which one to tap into??
I determined fuse No. 9 (I think) is one I am looking for that turns on with just accessory-not full ignition wire.
Does ANYONE have a good close up photo of exactly which wire I should tap into for the red wire on accessory bus? I tried using add-a-tap off that fuse and it works, but the fuse cover won't go back on due to rasied height
Thanks.. I am determined to finish out this project today, even though heat index will be 104-106, maybe more in the garage!
With the add a circuit mini anl adapter your cover should go back on fine. As far as the other wires, what year is your car? The accessory pigtail is located just above the BCM and the wires are taped together with black electrical tape, an orange, a yellow, and a black. I think some late model 2003 and all 2004 do not have the accessory pigtail.
Oh, sorry.. It's a 2000 coupe. I still have been unsuccesful in getting the fuse box cover back on and screwed down correctly. Just too hot with low light trying to get in this awkard position to find everything...
Thanks, I'll check those wires - I did see them, I think.......
