Default German AutoX

Thought I'd share a few pictures of the local AutoX event from this past weekend. This was my 1st event on Kumho v710s and also my first win. 1-on-1 Motorsports does one event a month with 1/4 mile drag racing, AutoX, and a Roadcourse (extended autoX course) on what used to be Bitburg AB (now a private airport). I took 2nd in the AutoX and 1st on the roadcourse.

the rest of the pictures are HERE

(It's funny how many strange looks I get when people see me towing a trailer down the autobahn in a vette.)

Great pics looks like lots of fun

I remember flying out of Bitburg back in the early 80s. Good to see the airfield was put to good use after it closed.

Wow I loved those pics! I was stationed there from 85-88 and had a great time. I remember delivering support equipment to those buildings and hangers. Sure would love to have a jaegerschnitzel and wash it down with a Bitburger Pils.

usually, 10-15 guys come down to AutoX. Pretty low #s, but there's some good talent in the group and you can get as many runs in as you want after you post your official times. I've been working on getting some other Vettes to show up, but not having any luck.

B50 hasn't changed. They closed billeting at Bitburg, so now we've got to go all the way to Spang to get a room for the weekend.
