Default speed ticket

what to do with a speeding ticket over 100MPH??

my notice said mandatory appearnce. But I would like to get a trail by written declaration. I have already requested this, but .. the notice I recieved did not list the bail amount which you must send in, in order to obtain the trail by written declaration forms.

Any thoughts from anyone !!

thanks !

Lot's of unknowns here, but over 100 is big time speeding. I don't know why you want trail by written declaration, unless you're afraid they might lock you up. That's serious speeding and I suggest you read the vehicle code on the section they cited you and then decide what you want to do. You definitely should read some books on defending yourself, review the ticket for accuracy and plan your strategy carefully, maybe hire a lawyer, or just suck it and take the consequences, which will cost dearly in time and finances and increased insurance.
Good luck.

In AZ if it says "mandatory appearance" then that's what it means. No way out of it!

about a year ago, i got a speeding ticket, clocked doing 105 MPH on the 105 freeway, how damn ironic, it said mandatory court appearence, what happens in LA is that youll get 2 points taken off your license, and a hefty fine, i paid $418 for that, but if you plead not guilty, you can get a trial, but takes for ever, when doomsaday comes, ask how much the bail (fine) is, if its under 500, its worth it. best of luck bro. i know how you feel.also in your defense, say you were arguing with the cop, and that you and him were @ eachothers throats, and that you were going 90, and since he disliked you, added 100+ MPH...lol it worked for me

Might want to consider keeping the right foot out of the gas for a while. May be worth your time to check with a lawyer on what is the best way to proceed. Could benefit you in the long run.

some details to add.
First there was a silver S 500 mercedez doing the same speed i was and then went by me when this whole thing when down.

Second. I was caught on the 15 going to las vegas for my birthday. the three cops who pulled me over said .. We are not the ones that clocked you, were are just the ones pulling you over. The three cops were all pretty cool, and mentioned they loved the car and what I had done with it !

Anyway

third. The cops said the airplane got me. To be honest i think i had it at 130MPH .. but the ticket was written for 110MPH.

Thus is there anyway .. i can argue the 11MPG down . and pay the bail and get the written declaration. I know I at least have a shot if I can get the declaration, I understanding fighting your case in court, even fought well with a good argument does not help.

incidently i ask the cops how much damages is coming my way and they said .. i have seen this ticket . range from $600-$1000.

...................................
any more advise would be good here .

Aircraft typically use VASCAR to measure the time it took your vehicle to travel a known distance marked on the highway. It's a simple math calculation. It's an average speed over the entire distance measured, not peak speed like RADAR or LASER. It makes it difficult to argue you were passing someone. The longer the distance measured, the more accurate the device. It's the same used in patrol cars. It's extremely accurate and frequently calibrated, both with internal checks and between known distances on the highway.
The observer officer that measured the speed does not need to be the officer that stopped you. The observer gives a description of the vehicle and stays with the vehicle until the ground officers make the stop, confirming the correct vehicle. All officers involved in your stop will be subpoenaed to court should you plead not guilty.
If your actual speed was 130mph and you were written for "only" 110mph, you should consider yourself very lucky. That's usually an offense that results in immediate jail and vehicle impound. The actual speed measured will also be admissible in court and could be considered by the judge in sentencing.
If you decide to plead not guilty, have a sound defense (?) and be well prepared. Do not perjure your testimony as suggested. Most traffic enforcement officers take copious notes. The multiple officers (all 3) who stopped you will most likely vividly recall everything you said and did because of your speed and car.

WHAT HE SAID.
i was lucky last year. rushing from the east coast to the west because my father was not long for this world i was stopped out side of ft myers. the cops was REALLY pissed because he couldn't catch me (untill i noticed his lights in the distance) and slowed down. 150+-??? i wasn't looking. he had mercy on me because i told him the truth that i was attempting to get to the hospital a.s.a.p.. he QUICKLY wrote me a ticket for "to fast for road conditions" and told me to keep it reasonable for the rest of the way 20+- miles. NICE cop because this is a straight to jail including the car in florida!!
