Update: Purchased $5 tube of black RTV Silicone from Auto Zone. Applied it to the back of the mirror and attached. Worked like a charm! Feels as sturdy as stock without the possibility of it breaking again.
You can also try Amazing Goop. I just used it to re-attach the rear window in my vert to the cloth top. That stuff is holding like steel when nothing else I tried worked worth crap. Comes in a tube and you can find it at any hardware store including Ace, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc . . .
I used 3M tape. The area it attaches to has the visor material in that area so the tape is attached on one side to material not the fibreboard. I guess I could have trimmed it back.
There's not much weight to the mirror. So far its holding but I'm not sure how permanent it'll be.
