[QUOTE=EnglandGreen]Thanks for the props, Craig. But Doug and Chris of ECS are on another level - nay, on another planet with their mad skillz. I just tinker - Doug & Chris actually know what they are doing

You may be selling yourself short Stephen. After this project you will know more than any GM tech knows about these cars. How many do you think could tear one down modify it and put it back together? They have different techs for trans, engine, front end etc.

The guys at ECS are the best people in Jersey to deal with.
They have always been very helpful and friendly every time I've called to ask a question
Before I spent a dime there I called Chris at least 10 times to ask questions and he never lost patience with me

Doug, Chris and the guys at ECS are the best. After getting my heads and Cam package done by them, there's no other tuner shop that will touch my vette even though they are further away from me than other tuner shops in my area. Doug and Chris have become more than just the guys I turn to for mods, I consider them great friends.

Can't wait for the next WGI get together!!

I'm a pretty good judge of character and I think ECS is one of those rare businesses that always puts their customers first. I've held off doing some mods to my car this year because of our daughter's upcoming wedding, but I assure you I'll be ordering an A/I system from them next spring. If I lived on the east coast, they'd be doing all the work on my car.
I'm in the same boat with you...never purchased anything from them, but they have offered to answer some pretty technical questions for me recently. My hat is off to the gang at ECS and I hope to one day have a s/c kit from them

Huck
there was once a motivational speaker who told the story of why service earns revenue in the long run -

he called it the 7-foot Lexus Principle

briefly stated - when a customer is unhappy, they vote with their feet, and in turn, tell (statistically speaking) 7 people about their level of dissatisfaction

then there is the Lexus Salesman, who demo'd a car for a guy - while driving he explained the various parts to the car and asked casually, "what sort of music do you like?" - classical was his reply, and so for a few minutes he spoke of the range of fidelity found in the speakersystem.....

A few days later the chap ordered the car, and upon delivery he was surprised to find a fine-crafted wood cigar-type box, clad inside with velvet or something equally luxurious -and filled neatly with $200 worth of Classical CD's "

--you can bet while some people compain to 7 (or more , thanks the the high view's count here at CF, lol) people for bad experiences:
- he probably would not have spoken that much to his work collegues about that new lexus she bought - afterall who (normally) likes to brag that much? (again, not talking about CF'ers lol)

- but that level of service.... im sure the whole office new about how cool the sales guy was.... and thought a bit harder about their next car purchasing being a lexus...

its the same with ECS. it seems.
good on em for reaping the rewards of the patience and knowledge they have sown freely.

I had the pleasure of going to ECS today for a basic tune. Chris and Matt who I dealt with are both stand up guys and they went out of their way to accommodate me on a weekend day because I am unable to get down there during the weekdays. I recommend this shop to anyone in the area who is looking to have work done to their car. The basic tune took about 15 minutes and the car feels great. They looked into a few other concerns of mine and were great to supply answers and resolutions. I will be utilizing them again in the near future and picking up a set of the beautiful looking seat covers they have. Top notch shop with a top notch staff!

Always good to read about a quality, customer focussed Vendor, who knows their "stuff"

I've dealt with my share of tuners, some of the best in the country. For the first time EVER, a tuner/corporation(Chris in particular) talked me out of something they knew I wouldn't be happy with(I demanded stock mannerism's) which was a cam at that time, and to spend more for a supercharger. I couldn't be happier! I've had the car back since January and have been driving the hell out of it! It's quiet(blower noise and the exhaust note until you're on it) and drives perfectly. Ten+years ago I had a Vortech equipped mustang done by some of the best and it still had all sorts of problems. I swore I'd never use a supercharged combo again...well ECS, thanks to you guys for making my car in to a Jekyll and Hyde! That's what BillY2K called it when He drove it the other night. Now we'll have to see what that bottom # on the scoreboard lights up with.
