Saturday filled up including ~30% ethanol, drove 55 miles to the track, made 3 runs, drove home then back and forth to work couple of days. Filled up mixing 30% ethanol again 12 gal, 270 miles 22.5 mpg!
Need larger injectors to run full E85!
Went on a 2222 mile road trip from Portland, OR to Los Angeles, CA and then back and averaged 28.8 mpg .... as well as being the fastest car on the road !!
Just in case people are not aware the DIC mpg maybe accurate or can be off by a good bit. The only true mpg numbers I know of is by filling up and dividing by miles driven. Mods and retunes can help or hurt mpg depending on what they are but chances are good they will throw off the DIC mpg.
Just returned from a 2000 mile round trip to Tampa, FL. Averaged 29 mpg with A/C on the entire time. 2003 A4. Probably had 500 lbs of luggage, cargo in car with me.
About a year and a half ago I took 2nd place in the C5 class of our club economy run. Something like 85 miles of mixed driving,,about 10% city,about40%country and about 50%2lane highway. I actually PASSED some of the guys that were ******* it on the 2 lane roads. I averaged and actual computed 33.73!! On the flip side of the coin,,turned a 13.08/110.24 at Gateway International on a test and tune night on the original Gooddyears. Like having your cake and eating it too!!
Yes!!! I Know ! It's awesome! Better than most sub compacts! And it has 694.8 RWHP! 14.5 inch wide rear tires just to be able to drive it! Be very hard for any street car to come close to matching it. MPG and HP ! And comfortable too!
I've got a "99" auto coupe. I have the 3.15 gears,c.a.i. and tune. I get around 30mpg on a trip and 24 mpg combined city/highway.
Of course my "city" is Grandy North Carolina which has one working stoplight [sometimes two] so that may be a factor. We make "Mayberry" look like a metropolis but thats the way we like it!
Are all these MPG numbers coming from your guy's DICs? My goodness that sounded naughty! Or are you actually calculating miles driven by how much gas you are replacing in your tanks? I, like most single women do not trust DICs too much... (Sorry, couldn't resist)

99 Coupe
My all stock '03 6 speed is calculated by the tank: 33 at 70mph,cruise set. 30 at 80,cruise set. 24.5 avg off interstate 45-55 town driving. It drop to 20-23 driving in the mountains but I am in lower gears 2nd- 4th and taching around 3500-4500 but it is much more funner tends to make my wife nervous though
