BIG WELCOME - you will find TONS of useful information here, and a bunch of friendly people willing to share the info - I've saved myself THOUSANDS of dollars of stealership labor by getting advice here and doing the work myself - but then again, I've spent thousands of dollars doing things to my car that I learned here -
I too thought that stock was ok - that feeling lasted for all of 3 or 4 months, then this strange mod fever struck me - no cure for it, all you can do is treat the fever with various mods
Give yourself a little time, seek some information, and you too will be modding soon.
I say invest another 10g and supercharge it now! You should have change left over for long tubes and a few other goodies!
Remember: it will never be fast enough!
Here's a pic of my ride: 758 rwhp, and still wishing it was more!
Good luck!
Congrats! You'll have no regrets on the vette, trust me! Oh, yeah...mods are not about"if it ain't broken don't fix it", it's about customizing your car to be unique to you and be different among anyone else's corvettes!
From: Dear Karma, I have a list of people you missed.

Welcome and enjoy!
True story! Just think of the boards here as "therapy".
Thanks for the welcomes. Billy, what does that mod for the doors run? is it a DIY job or more extensive for the home garage? and what do you even call it?
Door mod is called "Lambo" doors - as in Lambrogini (sp??) - I don't have them, but I've seen them on fleabay for I think a $2,000.00 ++ - from what I understand, some kits install w/o a hitch, and other kits claim to be easy, but are a pain in the AZZ to install
- before you do something like that, drive your car for a while to decide what you like/dislike and want to change - look around here, and look at a few other cars - then do your mods -
