I am debating on which exhaust I want to put on the car. Everyone seems to think that theirs are the best, (Which I dont blame them for... I will probably be the same way once I get mine). Well, I have narrowed it down to the Borla Stingers...how happy are y'all with them? Do they give you the "growl" we all look for? Do y'all get a really bad drone in the car once you are at cruising speeds? I am not looking to do anything else like headers, x-pipe, or cams...just exhaust.
Also, how much can I expect to pay for the Borla Stingers?

I love my borla stingers as well, but I love the quad tips instead of the dual. Looks much better
I am so glad the C5 I bought had Stingers on it. When my neighbor's stock 98 drives by it sounds like any other car. If my car had not had them and I would have heard another Vette with stingers it would have been my first mod. Quad vs Dual? I love my quads and would not trade for the dual tips. There is a lot of space under there but either way you will be happy. They both look great and are a big improvement visually as well as audibly.

I have had stingers for over a year and I made the mistake of driving with a friend of mine who had a much louder Camaro and now all I can think about is trading my stingers for something louder! I am also thinking about getting a header/hi flow cat/ x pipe package and seeing what that does to the sound. As for the tips, there is no difference in sound, only appearance. Here they are Quad ovals:

I just, literally like 5 minutes ago, got back from my first drive after installing quad tip stingers in my Z06. AMAZING sound! Yes, they give a much deeper and a bit louder sound than the TIs that came on the car. I also have LG long tubes, x-pipe, and high-flow cats.
I am very pleased with the car so far. Can't imagine why I waited so long to do it.
Everything sounds great about the stingers! Ok, what, if you could, would you change about the Stingers?
I would love to eliminate the over-the-axle loop, but that's not going to happen with the available space at the rear. Other than that, I am perfectly happy with my Borlas - best-sounding C5 cat backs in the world!

Last question to be answered: How much should I expect to pay INCLUDING install?
I bought mine used, but saw some group purchases where they were in the $850 range for quad tips (no clue about dual tips). I really can't see a dealer/shop getting you for more than $75-$100 to install. If the car is high enough, it really is a piece of cake.
I had my driver side done within 30 mintes of walking into the garage. Had to get more creative to get the car high enough for the passenger side. Once I figured that out, it was 20 minutes. I truly believe swapping mufflers is a 1 hour job now.
This one is EAZYYYYYYYYYYY.....OK.......I just traded in my 97 coupe that I had put on CORSA INDYS...luved them..I thought!...I just got my new 04 that had the dual STINGERS on it and WOW.........WHAT A DIFFERENCE....the roar.....from start up to idle to open throttle....NO COMPARISON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET THE BORLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the stingers, you said you wanted to get a set at the Lancaster Cruise-in. Bet they sound great on that Z06

Magred, get headers before switching catbacks. It will make those Stingers howl. I've had the two tips for 3 years, and 1.5 with headers, and O/R X pipe. I now have Magnaflows on because it was just a little too much. Magnaflow sound almost stock compared to the Borlas, but much deeper bass sound. I've almost completed my H/C install, and I've heard this makes your exhaust even louder, so we'll see. I still have the Stingers, and the stock Ti, so when I get bored, I'll probably try all three combos.
i have quad stingers and love them although im gonna wake them up with headers, hi flow cats and an xpipe on saturday. have you decided if you would get oval or round in the quads?
