Anything is possible - the real point is, you might never know the truth. Why take a chance that all the repairs are legit - do you want a car that has had this much work done?
If there was fraud - what was the extent of the repairs? Were there any repairs at all? You really have no way of knowing. As I said in my first response - there are plenty of other clean cars with traceable and legit histories - why tempt fate and buy a car with so much stuff hanging over it?
You are the one that's going to make the ultimate decision. It's your money. You asked for opinions, remember?

If that were the case how do you know he even changes the oil, maybe he just charges for the oil and filter and sends the car down the road. I would avoid this car.
Is there any way at all to find out if the mileage is correct ? I heard that even if the odometer would be altered, the correct mileage woud be stored somewhere in the BCM or PCM ? Would a dealer be able to read it out via the GM Tech-II Dealership Scan Tool ?
If those numbers are correct, then that car has been DRIVEN LIKE IT WAS STOLEN.......ON THE AUTOBAHN NONTHELESS!!! RUN FOREST, RUN!!!! I wouldn't touch that car w/ a 10 foot pole.
Another possability, the service person may have picked your VIN # to charge off the repairs & labor to repair his own car, a friends car, or do an under the table repair for someone else and just guessed at the milage and entered it not knowing this car was down for awhile.
I would also avoid this car, but I own a Canadian delivery vert and live in California, I can tell you my mileage history is FUBAR because the lazy dealership writers do not bother converting the KM to miles when he writes the order, or even push the E/M button to display it correctly. EVERY time I have had it in I have had to ask them to fix it when I get my paperwork. Do you think he does? Maybe 50% of the time...
Just venting...I like having the Speedo read 300, but this issue drives me crazy
Even if the service guy was a crook, I doubt anyone would let him replace things like the clutch, pistons, etc, if there was nothing wrong with them. So ...... someone has run the living hell out of this car IMHO. It'd be to press any further into this deal.
