Congrats on your ride, very nice The code is probably from your Blackwing induction causing it to run lean. I have an 04 Z06 with Borlas and a Halltech induction. It ran lean and the check engine light would come on every once in a while. Got it tuned, took care of the lean condition and got 398 RWHP to boot! Good luck, if you ever make it around CENTCOM in Tampa, look me up!

You're kidding of course about the spare. If not, ask the dealer where it is (tip, if he doesn't know where it is, get a better dealer fast). He should have told you. As I recall Z06's don't come with runflats, but you should have a tire repair kit with the car for emergency road use if all else fails. I don't think some? or all came with the tire sensor option either...so if you can't find it you don't have it. Check your owners manual and you will find a lot of information and watch the tape if one came with it.

Nice car, enjoy it.

Congratulations Joe,

Welcome to the forum. That is a great looking car. Just for the future, with the C5 you do not need a scan tool to retrieve your codes. Have a look here:

http://97vette.com/howto/codes/index.html

As you'll see you can do it all onboard using the buttons on the DIC (Drivers Information Center).

As to the Blackwing, it is one of the best bang for the buck intakes available and it offers arguably the safest, best filtration on the market with very little fear of water injestion leading to hydrolock. The better performers are going to sit lower and risk injesting water. I had a Blackwing on my C5 for 4 years and was very, very impressed. Here's to miles of smiles.

Paul
