Default Newbie introduction

Hello, my name is Joe I am 35 Husband and also a father of 3 and we live in Colorado Springs, Colorado were I am stationed here in the Army. I just recently made a life long dream come true. I am the proud owner of a 03 Z06! Just got it last night as a matter of fact. Black w/ the Black/Red interior. I think I got a good deal on it, it was 37K with only 14k miles on it. It already has a Borla Cat-back and a Blackwing (never heard of it) intake. Of course as my luck would have it when I started it up in the delivery room the check engine light was on. I connected a scan tool to it and came up with bank 1&2 are lean, looked in a little cheatsheet book and it sounds like the MAF????? UGH, well hopefully the dealership were I got it will stick true to their word (cause I showed them that before I drove off) and get it taken care of. OH, and today driving it around the brakes started to squeal....... Hopefully that is just cause it sat for a couple weeks. ANY and I mean ANY input, advice would be great, I know nothing about these cars except I have always loved them and wanted one!!!

THX
JOE

Congrats on the car! The car may have been sitting too long so give the brakes a little time. The blackwing is a great CAI. Hopefully your dealer hold his word. Have fun!

Welcome to the Forum!

Did the car come with after market headers? If so you may need to tune...

It could be the MAF as well, check it and clean it.

Tks for your service

Peace

Hey Joe,
congrats on the new Z06! Great choice

I was stationed at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs with I was in the USAF. CS is a very nice place.

The brake squeaking sounds like the wear sensors. The code is questionable, but hopefully the dealership will take care of it.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with the new car!

Hi Joe,
I live in Colorado also, in Canon City to be exact. Its a short' nice drive down 115 towards the Royal Gorge bridge. Look me up if you decide to take a spin down my way. Tomorrow would work if youre up to it. PM me if you want.

Nice car you have there, I love the mod red interior.

Sounds fun, would like that, tomorrow I actually have to go the other way to Castle Rock.

I hope the code is just the MAS and it's taken care of. I really hope it's not the wear sensors, EXPECIALLY AT ONLY 14,000 MILES!!! Why won't my signature work? is it a minimum post thing?

PS........... And don't laugh too hard....... am I supposed to have a spare tire? if so, where would it be? And I remember Vette's used to have runflats, is that still the case?
