I don't know what IM QUICKR's" issue is, but if I'm in the vette I'm NOT on the work clock, and not in a rush (why would anyone be in a rush when driving??? leads to other issues - LEO's know what I'm talking about)... I'd be happy as a pig in slop if a LEO pulled me over just to BS about my car

If I remember CA law (not sure about other states) but the traffic ****'s here deemed the driving with "parking lights only" or "amber front day time running lights" are illegal. - That law may or may not have been chaged since I was last aware of it being enacted, but I hardly give a flying hump at a rolling donut. ANY lights on a vehicle if bright enough draw attention. As long as it's not glare or visually disruptive, or illegal colors *(read: red, blue, green - facing forward) Then I don't see an issue.
However the "LED Windshield wiper nozzles" not only are illegal, but damn where's the fashion police on that one?

I-20 thru Mississippi last month... I was following a blacked out Yukon wearing 22"+ wheels. We got separated by traffic and I caught up. Just as I caught up, we passed a state trooper in the median. Yukon was doing around 85, I was coming down thru 90. Trooper had good visibility on both of us for awhile. I pulled over into the right lane, slowed down to just below the speed limit and waited for the trooper to pull me over. About 45 seconds later he pulled up beside me and matched my speed. I rolled down my window expecting to follow some verbal order, but he just nodded at me and took off after the Yukon. Either he considered me the "lessor" hazard to public safety, or that the blacked out Yukon might yield more than just a speeding ticket. Either way, I felt fortunate and kept it +/- 10mph after that!

Simply because of the fact that these DRLs are factory equipment from GM, should be an indication that they are not possibly illegal. If GM is installing illegal lighting in all of their vehicles, then they are promoting chaos.
I am a Traffic Enforcement Officer and contrary to common belief, colors, running lights, verts, etc. to not draw our attention. Speeding...draws attention. You don't have to worry about it at all.
Actually ---I've always thought that any high performance sports car like the Corvette is far safer at 10 MPH over the limit because of the far higher vehicle dynamic capabilites -- including far shorter stopping distances. I'd much rather pull over the mom doing 10 over while yelling at her kids in the back seat, talking on her cell phone, drinking her Starbucks while driving her 88 Buick Regal with bald tires and one tail light --- but that's just me.......
You are my kinda guy! The "mom" or dad you describe are outrageously dangerous IMHO
I have been driving Vettes for 25 years and have never been pulled over once. Maybe I am just lucky or maybe I drive in a way that doesn't bring attention to the car.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
