Running Lights bring Cops??
Doing 10-15 over in a corvette, without "recklessly driving", is much easily over looked then a driver in a POS swerving all over the place.
Honestly, I've seen MORE LEO's overlook corvette's, why I don't know.

But then again Corvettes are not the cars of Drug dealers, gun runners or their mules.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I would think it would be the same with a LEO and a radar gun.
I have the fuse pulled to keep from drawing any unecessary attention (pewter blends in with the road good too).
). The officer will target a vehicle that he/she believes is travelling at a speed higher than the posted based on experience.
An officer trained/certified in using speed measurement devices usually has to show a pronounced verified ability to accurately judge speed w/o any speed measurement device.
I had to accurately visually judge the speed and record approx. 200 vehicles in various locations (within required %) before I was allowed to use RADAR or VASCAR. It took me days to achieve that 200 vehicle goal. The idea is that the speed measurement device is supportive of the officers visual observation of speed.
In the case of VASCAR, it means Visual Average Speed Computer and Recorder. RADAR and LASER operators required similar training/certification. A stop watch required no specialized training, but it required a verified distance, such as a school zone.
Even with that training, I was allowed to issue only warnings for another 100 stops. My speed measurement "device" was my right thumb
My problem are those annoying intersection cameras
I should be getting my 2nd violation in the mail sometime this week. I swear those cameras are rigged

Where as a toyota camry I can stuff about 200 of em....
The conversation usually goes something like this
me: Do you know why I pulled you over?
them: (usually) no sir, was I doing something wrong?
me: Sure, just driving a vette drl's on. Figured you needed a ticket for something. Sign here please.
I think most of us oinkers are that way.
OK, the truth is the only real reason a vette sticks out to me is because I own one. I am much more interested in drug arrests then speeding tickets anyways. In my 10 years of expirence corvettes are not the vehicle of choice for the local tweekers.
Although I did pull over a c5 the other day just to see if he had a couple of minutes to talk vette stuff. He was cool. Actually he did not use his blinker to make a turn so I pulled him over for that then talked vette.

I'd be pissed if that's why you wasted my time. The last thing I'd do is shoot the S**t with you.
And you LEOs wonder why you're so loved.
Bang!
Common sense. DRLs certainly catch my eye when I see them, regardless what vehicle it is. Therefore, my vote is that it DOES increase the propability of catching a cop's attention, therefore, increasing the chance of you getting a citation if you were doing something illegal.
Sorry you took me so literally, I will clarify.
It was 2am I was looking for dui's he did not use his blinker, I pulled him over for that. He had not been drinking and was more than happy to take a couple of minutes to talk about vettes.
One of the most dangerous things we do is pull people over. It is also dangerous for the occupants of the vehicle being stopped. Not to mention no probable cause is a violation of civil rights.
Relax.
