Strange looking brake pedal!
Picked up my '04 recently (C5 auto) and the brake pedal is silver rough metal. Is this typical or was there a more common type rubber cover which is missing?

If it looks like this then it's common ----->
GM got cheap with the plastic gas/dead pedals. Most people replace the pedals with metal ones.

Now you guys got me thinking! More toys to add on! Actually it dosn't look too bad, just unusual and sort of out of place. Not the kind of thing you would expect in a clean Vette. Is this stock? Accoding to the posts it may be a replacement. Thanks

Also, the brake pedal on autos is a different shape than the manual cars (the auto pedal is bigger).
The aftermarket pedals are for the gas and dead pedal.
