This comes down to the old saying of-to each his own-I just went back to the runflats. It gave me peace of mind and my mind is the one that counts.
I don't want to carry sections of 2x4's to run the car up on to get it jacked up. By the time I put everything in the trunk that people suggest in event of an emergency my car would look like it belonged to Sanford and Son
I went with the GS-D3 as well. They are much quieter than the Runflats... As the car is 6 years old, I had the tire pressure sensors replaced,,,, didn't want them to fail after the new tires were put on. I also got a compressor/sealant kit from Tirerack. It can be used an aircompressor or with the included sealant and compressor (similar to the kit with the Z06, but only cost $79). The sealant is suppose to be sensor friendly...

By using runflats, you are adding 24 lbs that woudn't be there if you were running non-runflats. That's alot of lumber's worth!
Saw your post concerning Goodyear F1 GS D3s. I came on this forum and asked around. I also saw where Car and Driver rated them #1. Excellent for wet and dry handling. I went from EMTs to Kumho and will not buy another Kumho tire. Went to the D3s and totally happy. Quieter, great handling tire and less noise then the EMT and Kumho tires. BTW Kumho was also a non runflat.
