Default Partition = YES!

If you have been pondering the purchase of a partition for your FRC or Z06, GET IT! I just put it in and the noise reduction is amazing. The B&B's used to shake my brain loose.

I have on in my vert and cant tell any difference in the noise reduction it is a waste of money if you buy it for that.
Now on the other hand it does keep everything from flying around in the trunk when your out ther crusing with the top down.

I bought one but can't tell any difference at all. I have a Vert and the only thing it does is take up space. I'm hoping the original Poster can shed some light on the one that he purchased.

While I think my Lloyds and window valet are nice but overpriced, the partition is the only thing I have that I truly regret buying. Add to the fact that it came with a small tear in it, and it just adds insult to injury.

The FRCs ('99-'04) are the main beneficiaries of these. They tend to have a cheaper grade of carpeting and are short on the sound deadening. I love mine.
I would not personally recommend them for verts unless maybe you just happen to have some God-awful loud exhaust.

Robert

I got it on eBay from someone that sold thier Z06. I don't know the brand, but it's 3/4" plywood with carpet on the trunk side & vinyl on the other. I guess it's a whole different ballgame with the vert's. The B&B bullets are crazy loud. All I can say is that it works for me.

I agree with the comments on the Vert

Not much use for noise reduction but good for keeping things in place in the trunk or behind the seats. Also it protects the roof when its down if you have stuff in the trunk. Overall I'm happy with mine.

We have them in stock and ready to ship...

The main benefits in the FRC/Z06 is the sound deadening then all the other stuff (nothing sliding around, quicker heating/cooling etc.)

For the Vert Partition its the other benefits first and then some minimal sound deadening.

$130 w/ Free Shipping

Available in Light Oak, Black or Pewter Grey

It does wonders for quieting down the cabin.

I had to move a few things which required the partition to be removed. I couldn't believe the difference! It didn't take long 'til the partition was re-installed.

My tray/partition is around a year old and I am glad it was one of the first things I bought for the car.

I have a vert and bought a partition from Jim you won't notice the difference on noise unless the top is up which mine rarely is but sure is nice to keep stuff from rolling around all over the place mostly groceries just my .02

It does make a huge difference!

Build your own, its not that hard.

Here's one that I did. Though I now have mod red seats to go with it.

I got mine from Z06 parts .. perfect OEM carpet match, and along with the covers works and looks great without looking like an afterthought in my 01z. Definte noise reduction and better cooling for sure .. and keeps my sticks from sliding into my head should I ever have to brake quickly If you daily drive your FRC it is an absolute no brainer mod IMO.

I just purchased the one from Exotic Vette. It is made of ABS and is covered with any color carpet you want. I have a vert and it has a bend in it that bends toward the cabin, so you can have your top down and still open up your cubby's. It also makes for a nice seperation behind the seats.
I got mine because we go on a lot of overnight trips and I hate putting the bags in the trunk and having the top down, not that it hurt it, but I hate having anything up against it.
They just had them on sale, not sure if they still are, but I would buy from them again, fast turn around time and great communication.
My 2cents, Vinnie
