Default Dyno results (almost stock)

Ok, ok, so it is not making a lot of power in the grand scheme of things, but I am still happy with the numbers it put down. It is a 98 MN6 with a vararam and a catback.

I made 325 hp & 339 ft/lbs tq, SAE I tuned it a little, as you can see in the graph I got ~5hp or so out of it from stock, the tune was pretty close from the factory. I mainly wanted to get it on the dyno to check for spark knock and make sure everything is cool before going to the track

I was honestly surprised at the numbers. I figured that being a 98 I'd be lucky to see 310 or so.

Those are some very good numbers for what has been done to the car. I'd be happy with them.

I made 335HP 350TQ with Vararam, long tubes and cat back. You should be above that with headers

Yeah I am really excited to get headers (when I can afford them). I can't wait to see what kind of gains I can pick up then.

You should be pleased for what you've done to the car. In my '97 I put down a 309 with a Blackwing and Corsa Touring and factory tune.

Nice numbers! For comparison, see my sig for a Borla Stinger only dyno. I still even had the stock airbox.

I'm going in a few weeks to update those numbers.

Default Hp

I have never put mine on a dyno. But aren't the vetts supposed to have 345HP. I have an 01 auto coupe. So I was just wondering what to expect if I put mine on a dyno. 319HP sounds low to me. I also have Borla exhaust and a Air intake from MTI in Houston.

Yeah I am really curious to see what it will do with headers/LS6 intake. It's about time I had a decent car, my last Ls1 was pretty unimpressive on the dyno and at the track.

Yeah, twice.

The first time I went to a quarter mile. It rained for the first hour (track closed obviously). Then they dried the track, but there was no prep whatsoever. I ran a 13.2 @ 108 (8.7 in the 1/8th) with a 2.1 60'.

The second time was a local 1/8th mile. I'm still getting used to this crazy IRS, and being back at stock power (as opposed to 400hp at the wheels + 12 bolt rear + drag radials in the last car) I ran an 8.63 @ 85mph with another 2.1 60'. What is it they say, every tenth in the 1/8th is two in the quarter? If I can figure out how to launch this thing I know I can do 12's with it as it sits.

My goal is to get sub 2.00 60' before getting a drag radial, but we'll see how that goes, I'll be headed to the track tomorrow.
