Default Replacement carpet

My dad recently prchased an '04 CE Coupe that I found for him here on the forum. Unfortunatley, it has a few flaws. It has a small tear in the center console cover, and the stitching has started to come apart on the drivers seat bolster. It also needs carpet. Not mats, it has LLoyd's, we need the molded carpet. I could use some advise on where to find the SHALE interior carpet kit. I have found '04 carpet, just not available in SHALE. Any assistance on all of repairs would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Some members have refinished the console cover and I'm sure they'll chip in.

For the leather repair on the seat bolster you could fit new seat covers - Vette Essentials are way out there for quality. A cheaper option may be a repair kit. Heres a good looking one:

If its the stiching thats going rather than a tear you may need to take the cover off and have it restiched. VE has a great How To on this process.

Cool thanks. It is the stiching on the seat. Vette Easentials article looks very helpful.

I called a buddy at the dealer the other day and I know the seat leather can still be bought at the dealer, then you would have OEM. You might check there for the carpet as well.

I thought about that. I just assumed that it would be priced too high through GM. I'll check on Monday though.

Thanks.

OEM replacement parts should be available through any GM dealer. Give the following Forum supporting vendors a try. I think you will find them to be very competive in their pricing and they may well have some of the best prices:

Forum Venders/Dealers:

Fichtner Chevrolet
Parts Manager: Bob Wendorff
800-234-5284
E-Mail: parts@fichtnerchevrolet.com

Fred Beans Buick Pontiac GMC
Parts Manager: Gene Culley
610-495-1700
E-mail: gculley@fredbeans.com

Good luck!
