I know that Dynotech Engineering in Ft. Wayne recently completed a 427 upgrade in a brand spankin new CE C5. When I dropped my car off for my mods I got a chance to see the car before they started. When I picked my car up a couple of weeks later the CE was gutted of her drivetrain. Kinda tough to look at with such a beautiful new car! The best part was when I stopped by their shop on my way to Michigan International Speedway for the annual "Corvettes at MIS" event. Phil was in the process of tuning the car and I got the chance to see and hear that bad boy up close! WIth the exception of the FAST intake, the motor looked stock, but let me tell you, it sure didn't sound stock!
I WANT ONE...

i agree with Paul, there is really no way to tell a 427ci motor in the engine bay. they all look completely stock... sure, throw a FAST manifold on there, and you "think" somethings is up...HEAR the beast, and you KNOW its got a monster under the hood... thats what i love about mine... looks stock minus the entire carbon fiber engine covers and FAST manifold.... but hear the beast, and the gigs up.
Aj
If 600whp you mean rear wheel horsepower then yes a few. Most 427 are pushing the low to mid 500 rwhp. Torque is in about the same range which is what seperates them from your run of the mill modified C6Z06 which only pushes about 460 rwtq when heavly modified. Remember horsepower is for talking but torque is for walking
As others have said, a few tuners offer 427's. There are C5R blocks (which was the block used for GM Racing) and there are other bored & stroked 427 blocks available. You can push the 427 to its limits for maximizing HP. Personally I took a more conservative approach and had our C5R-427 designed for good power & longevity. When you run road courses (like we do) +/- 20-30 HP is not that huge of a difference. We had our 427 designed to optimize TQ, which is 520 RWTQ...from 2000-4600 RPM's through an FLP Stage-V Tranny.
We did not have a 427 logo put on the car. I prefer to surprise people.
