Whew. I thought I was the only one shaming the rest of the vette community by driving around with mine missing... I know that on mine a few of the little tabs are broken off and I've just been too lazy to figure out a fix.
I've gone thru several sets as well. Seems like this would be a good item for some vendor to redesign and produce, but built from aluminum, cf, or any other stronger material. Possibly with a small logo or color matched to interior? I think many of us would purchase a set if it were a more durable design than the POS chevy provided.

Just use a piece of tape to tighten up the area.
If you use duoble sided tape it would make it way more difficult to remove the cover and may cause you to break it.
mine broke too. I had to glue on the red light on the drivers door panel too. The material is pulling away on one of my door panels where you would rest your arm.
