Default Door Panel

Is it a common problem that the small insert fall off the door panel?

Mine has done it 2 times and I am looking for a fix.

Thanks

Whew. I thought I was the only one shaming the rest of the vette community by driving around with mine missing... I know that on mine a few of the little tabs are broken off and I've just been too lazy to figure out a fix.

Count me in, passenger side, put it back on and hasn't come of since though. If we had a smilie for "knock on wood" I would insert it here.

Default Vendors?

I've gone thru several sets as well. Seems like this would be a good item for some vendor to redesign and produce, but built from aluminum, cf, or any other stronger material. Possibly with a small logo or color matched to interior? I think many of us would purchase a set if it were a more durable design than the POS chevy provided.

Vendors?

After mine fell out a few times, I got new ones and used the double sided tape also. I used carpet tape. Seemes a bit stronger than the others.

Just use a piece of tape to tighten up the area.
If you use duoble sided tape it would make it way more difficult to remove the cover and may cause you to break it.

I think I am going that route.... trim the other tabs off and "stick it" ... It seems the "tabs" are the common problem.

Never had it happen to mine, but there have been numerous reports posted here that it has happened to them.

mine broke too. I had to glue on the red light on the drivers door panel too. The material is pulling away on one of my door panels where you would rest your arm.

Phil! Paging Phil at Elite Engineering! You there Phil? Ah yes, I can see it now. True 6061-T6 billet aluminum and anodized in several different colors. Hmmm, on second thought, maybe Titanium. Hmmm. You making notes here Phil?
