Had a few electrical gremlins with my '02 vert, but nothing bothered me thanks to factory warranty. However, the other day when parked in my garage all night from driving the day before, I used my remote to unlock the doors to retrieve my sunglasses, and then locked the doors again with the remote.
Later that eve, when the weather cleared up, we went to go for a drive, and the entire elctrical system was dead! Couldn't use the remote to get into the car, and my key wouldn't even unlock the door manually!
I had to resort to the slim jim kit to slip something between the top of the window and the vert roof (not as easy as you'd think) then worj it over to the little manual flip tap to wiggle it back and unlock the door.
I opened the hood, everything looked good, tight connections etc, recent battery, then touched my booster pack to the terminals and everything then came back to life. I load tested the battery, and tested the alternator, and all is well there.
It's been fine all week since. Anybody experience anything similar?
just touched the jumper box cables? if ya load tested it right away [no charging time] and it passed i would take off both term. ends and clean check that batt is not broke inside by over tightening
