I remember the original post. Some negativity questioning your ability and enthusiasm. I thought at that time I hope he shows us all. I admire your attitude and drive
I do remember those posts, no hard feelings to anyone
Outstanding job and the best part, Carfax will still say it has never been in an accident.
Thanks, but Carfax already says that it has been in an accident. It's alright, I'm not trying to hide anything. When I'll go to sell it someday, I'll show the new owner the pictures
Konrad,
Wow, nice to see you finished up the car and it looks great. I followed that original thread and was happy to see you were saving the car. Just goes to show with the proper experiance and hard work great things can happen. Enjoy your ride
Great job! Isn't this forum the best? There are so many good people that frequent this. I have been helped by many and hope to return the actions. It really does feel good when you can help someone else because of the knowledge you've learned from this forum. Thanks everyone!

100%
If it wasn't for this forum, I don't think it would be on the road now.
Thanks everyone

Holy crap, man. You did it!! Makes me proud that I wasn't one of the naysayers in the first thread. Congratulations and enjoy driving what you have brought back from the brink. WAY TO GO, kid!! BTW, the wreck I mentioned in the other thread that I brought back from a pile of junk recently took first place, best in class for the fourth consecutive year since I finished my resto! Here's to the restorers!!!
Very nice. It didn't look as bad as mine after I had been rear ended. It cost USAA $13000+ Just to fix mine. only the bumper was cut off and replaced. the rails were straight.
Glad to see you got it together. I had mentioned the formed frames and if they were really damaged, (buckles, not bent) then fixing them would have been a problem. Obviously they must have been in much better shape than the pictures showed.
Obviously anything can be fixed, it wasn't that we (I) didn't have faith, it was a matter of economics. I was guessing you'd have around 17-18K in the car when done and I thought that was ridiculous to have that kind of money in a car with a salvage title.
If you've got less than that, KUDOS to you, glad you got it together, looks like a great job.
I've got to tip my hat to you Konrad. While I didn't post skepticism toward your ultimate goal I knew you had your work cut out for you, no pun intended.
For some reason I got the impression that this was more a "back-yard project" but I know see you are either a top notch body-man or have access to a full service shop or probably both.
The car came out great and I wish you the best of luck with it.
