Halltech Question
Just got my Stinger installed and the airbridge contacts the hoodliner enough to leave an indent when the hood is closed. Is this common or did I do something wrong? What makes me think the Honker doesn't have this problem...

Very common. Here is a picture with my stock OEM hood liner with a vinyl decal. It shows the indent. I did not like the finished look here to show my car so upgraded to a nicer embr. liner. It does not show the indent as bad as the liner is allot thicker.

Mine leaves a very small indent, but I messed around and adjusted it a couple times, and got it to where it is almost not leaving any indent.
I am very happy with this Intake. Was a good compliment to the heads and cam I added aftward.

Had mine for a while now. Small indent but no problems at all!

Hi Taco -
I helped a friend trim his halltech airbridge down a little so that is would sit down flush on the radiator shroud.
They still contact the hood liner though - does not seem to be a problem.

Thanks guys for your help, looks like I am about standard. Took it out today and must admit SOTP feel is there and it also sounds a little meaner, so I am happy with it, as long as it doesn't go damaging my hood.

Remember that the airbridge is larger than that of the stock design, so a small impression is normal.

Just installed mine last weekend...went smooth and easy. It definitely contacts the liner, but not so much that the hood is tougher to close. If it is, then I'd say something is wrong. You have some room for forward/backward adjustment where the airbridge meets the coupler to the TB, so you can get it to the point where the bridge sits low as possible over the radiator support.
My butt meter says maybe 10hp over stock 00 LS1 airbox. But the throttle response and sound are the real gains, IMO.
