I am going through the same thing right now. However, I am looking to install one to comply with SCCA Solo I. Here are links to my threads, which may help.

Default roll bars

The hoops are really just epoxyed in and do nothing as far as safety goes. If you want a roll bar(4,5, 0r 6 point) check out the websites of Wolfe, ECS, or Neverlift. They make kits for verts that either weld or bolt in.

To adequately protect the occupants, I may be wrong, but the roll-bar must be taller than the occupants head. Most of the roll-bars I've seen posted here look "really cool" but will only protect the leather upholstery.

Correcet the roll bar must be at least 2" above the driver ( accident victums head) and be able to support 3400+ pounds, not to mention the added force of the roll over.

Haven't seen you in C5 General for quite a while!

I think I saw yours on the ESC site. I contacted them to design a remoable roll bar for me. BTW I believe that swing-outs have to be removed for HDPE events.
