Sully

I finally got off me **** and got the beast back to road worthy (non-vagrant) status after numerous therpy-inducing, poorly-serviced, wife-angering, wallet-cracking issues with the ride.

Hoping to get back out in the local scene a bit more now that, knock on wood, everything's running well

This is my only current shot of my roll bar. As you can see, it was designed for a petty bar which is the 5th point. The petty bar was recently authorized by a local drag strip But I never use the petty bar when I roadcourse

Is it possible to get a full bar that would pass safety inspection, but allow for the hoop to be disconnected for top up driving? Like the removable side bars.

if your talking about for HPDEs, track days. Maybe. There would need to be plates welded to the frame of your car so the roll bar could be BLOTED with big four 3/8"bolts to those plates on each of the four plates. Or some big ARP bolt of that nature.

For most HPDE or road track days, swing out door bars are highly discuaged do to saftey questions. Just remove them.

Rember guys dont put a roll bar in just to pass tech, it is for your safty.

Plus FIA padding on the roll bar and the 2" clearnce above the passangers helmets.

Right now I am trying to find a way to comply with all the requirements and make it removable. It isn't easy!
