Which shifter would you recommend? I'm thinking of changing my shifter on my 02 and would like to hear any thoughts on Hurst vs. B&M vs. Kirban. Thanks in advance.

I went with the Hurst. Over the years of building/driving hot rods and modding other cars, I've stayed with Hurst for their feel and reliability (and customer loyalty?). I'm sure the others are as well built. Just my opinion.

Nope,..........sorry,......... Its the "HURST" Like the man says its the "feel and reliability"! If you can simply read the directions, DO the adjustments, enjoy the install (as this realy IS something you can do YOURSELF!) You will be a happy man and as a side note if your a fan of the "pistol grip" order the black anodised pistol grip drill out for the proper threads (its so easy!) about 1/2 in. deeper then tap the proper threads,.....It will set down even lower on the shifter and shift just like you dreamed about!

I have only experienced the stock C5 & my new Kirban. I love the shorter throw & positive feel of gear selection with the Kirban. I also have the C6 **** & love it's ergonomic feel.

I Drove A New C6 6-speed And I Must Admit It Had A Nice Shorter Throw And Felt A Bit Smoother On The Shift. Without Buying A C6, It Has The Feel I'm Looking For.

I have a B&M Ripper shifter, it has adjustable stops and a shorter throw.

Installed it myself, definately better than stock, great for racing.

Spring loaded for center, pretty hard to miss a shift.

C6 Z06 is sweet, but I can't comment on any of the others, I almost got a Six Shooter, heard great things about that one as well.

While it's not on your list, I have been very pleased with my C6 Z06 shifter.

I really like my B&M. I purchased the newer version that is applicable to C5, C5 Z06, and C6. It has a noise isolator and dosnt make a noise at all. That was the biggest thing with me, I hate drivetrain noise. Also the fit was perfect and has a nice notchy feel, but not as heavy feeling as the Hurst. Also a good price at 200 bucks.
