I live 50 west of Chicago, IL. There are alot of wide open country roads that are safe to rock and roll.
Thanks for your response!

WHen your butt sweats every time you hit the gas.
I have a low 12 second v6 camaro, and I thought I was hot ****. Now I get beat regularly by modded corvettes, cobras, etc...
Go for the 10's. That will pretty much cement you King of the neighborhood.
On the other hand... WHere do you live? In my area, there is alot of urban density, curvy roads, construction, etc...11 second potential is about the maximum safe power level for someone with average reaction skills. Beyond that, you can never go WOT on the car because there is an obstacle ahead that you can't negotiate at such speeds.
WHen I lived in Kansas, however, I would have no problem driving an 8 second car on the street. Wide open straight roads....
Thanks you EG,
Some might say it is considered foolish to talk someone out of your services, but we have found it to be just the opposite.
I can personally vouch for the fact that Doug and Chris will talk you out of stuff. At one point during my build, I asked Chris: "If you had another $1000 to spend where would you put it?" Answer: Back in your pocket and save it for drivetrain work in the future. There is no reason to add any more at this point.
It is not foolish it is good business. After using ECS to do the work on my car, I am convinced that they are honest and straight up. When they tell me something I will still ask lots of questions, but I trust them implicitly.
ECS sounds like a great shop with alot of good customers.

Interesting writeup (Doug) Thankx for posting EG
There are many trade offs to higher HP. Most involve the cubic dollar.
To me when it involves reliability its no longer worth it.
