Strange thing is, it recognizes my address and street, but then takes me to the wrong place when the destination is my home. Fortunately, I know the way!
Anybody have a similar problem? Can you update the maps?
I have a Lowrance Iway 500. Hate it. It's the mapping software that really sucks. Newest version, too.
Was in Bedford, In this summer looking at property. I set it to take me to Ind. International Airport and the sucker gets me lost. And that was on all default settings. It was showing me I had to cross I-70 to get there and it's got me on some gravel road that doesn't cross the highway! Plus it sent us to some mystery Johnny Carino's restaurant outside St. Augustine, Fl last summer.
But hell, I can get lost on my own, I don't need $800 of electronics hanging off my windshield doing it for me.

Operator Error? I have the Iway 500 and works great.
I have a Garmin program on my laptop. Forget the #s. Also use USB antenia and wireless (rechargable)wart. Just place wart on dash near windshild. No wires. I have 400 watt inverter for long trips( laptop and cell phome chargers). Run 15" laptop on pass seat Whenalone. Works great in any car. Already had laptop so Garmin plus everything else was under$400. Have thought about 12" laptop -to place in glovebox, but that would be another $1000.
I do like the larger screen (laptop)and voice prompts(Garmin program). No system is perfect so you need to have some idea where your at and going. JHMO

Give it time, it'll get you one day. If you have a free weekend. Drive up to Bedford, Indiana and plug in Indianapolis International Airport. Leave all the settings at default, and see where you wind up. Take a picture of my burnout marks near the chainlink fence overlooking the highway, so I'll know you were there :o)
