Why don't you use an apostrophy now and then and why do you capitalize every word? That takes effort. I don't know Gene Cullen and I don't know you. But I wish you both the best of luck.

I Know Online The Cost For Sport Seat Bottoms Is Higher , Im Thinking I Recieved One Standard Seat Bottom And One Sport Seat Bottom.
Any Ideas. Whats The Holes For? The Frame?
Thanks, Sherry
The holes are for a child restraint seat, the passenger side bottom.

I hope this helps to assuage some of Sherry's (who flexes for fitness!) anger.

If the above poster is correct, it looks like you've probably got the correct foams.

Now can someone please explain the orange colored foam that looks like it came out of a used seat? I took a piece of foam out of my '77 that looked like that.I think old age makes foam turn orange

I Always Search The Net And The Forums Before I Ever Ask Questions. Only As A Last Resort Do I Ask For Assistance. I Did Post The Question Here On The Forum And Was Referred To Mr. Culley By A Member.
Perhaps Mr. Culley Was Having A Bad Day, But I Have Them Also And I Never Would Reflect That Towards My Customer.
Let Me Be Clear In That Im A Very Easy, Laid Back Person Who Really Lets Things Roll Off My Back, And Never Complains, But In This Instance Mr. Culley Fell Short Of Decent Customer Service. Enough So That I Felt I Wanted To Speak Up.
Regardsless Of Who I Do Business With And Where I Spend My Money, Discounts Or Not, Your Customers Are What Keeps You In Business And Good Customer Service Should Be The Number One Priority, Before, During And After A Sale. Period..
Ill Consider This My Last Post On This Subject.
Thank You...

I'm only guessing on this one but it's probably just because the foam is made up of some recycled material and some of it comes out different color. Also If it is exposed light longer it will probably darken in color.

I think you mistook Genes straight to the point attitude for rudeness....everytime I have called he is very matter of fact and gets right to the point...never rude. There have been times I called only to call right back and ask a dumb question....never a problem.

WTH does that have to do with anything ? Seriously, a person joins this forum and asks for help and they get lambasted ? Nice, real nice...

Maybe the originator could have handled the problem a little differently, that much is true. The fact remains that person had a bad experience. If it had been me, I would have done the same thing, re ceased using that vendor for my needs. Simple. Either you are happy with a vendor and continue to use their services or your not and you cease.

In this context, I think it was just meant as a simple statement of fact. That the originator of this post really hasn't been around long enough for their credibility to be established, especially in light of the fact that she was lambasting a long time (and well liked) forum vendor whose credibility is quite well known, apparently.

It's one thing to swear you'll never do business with a vendor. It's another to tarnish the well earned, good name and reputation of the vendor in question on a public forum filled with their regular and/or long term customers based on your first and only encounter with them.

But I see your point. The good news is that the correct foams were sent and the whole ordeal turned out to be a non-issue from the get-go.

Gene may have been having a bad day, and the post originator may have been having a bad day. Worlds collide, sometimes.

Although I've never dealt with Fred Bean or Gene, I've never heard anything but good feedback. That being said, a person's longevity on the forum shouldn't be grounds for immediately dismissing his/her complaint. The bottom line is there are two sides to every story, and perhaps Gene was having a bad day or the poster misunderstood his demeanor for rudeness. Either way, we won't know until Gene or someone from Fred Bean decides to chime in.

I understand what your saying, however, I would think that this group of folks would give the poster the benefit of the doubt. We know nothing about the poster, so does credibility really mean anything ? Like I stated, I would start with the benefit of the doubt, on BOTH sides of the fence. The vendor truly may have been having a bad day.

My decision to use a vendor would most likely NOT be tainted until I tried their service, unless, and only if, I saw a rather obvious trend in poor customer service.

Having said this, I am headed to Fred Beans to look up some parts

Nice exchange JMc, that's the way it should be done.

IVE TAKEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THE POSTS FOLLOWING MY ORIGIONAL THREAD.

AS FAR AS MY REPUTATION AND NOT BEING A MEMBER ON THIS FORUM BUT FOR ONLY A MONTH, AND NOT HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO ESTABLISH A CREDIBLE REPUTATION, I WELCOME ANYONE TO REVIEW MY FEEDBACK ON EBAY. IVE BEEN LIQUADATING MY STORE INVENTORY ON THERE FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW AND CAN ASSURE YOU MY REPUTATION IS OUTSTANDING AND THE CONSTANT REPEAT OF CUSTOMERS DOING BUSINESS WITH ME ONLINE AND AT MY BUSINESS TIME AND TIME AGAIN IS A TRUE REFLECTION OF THE QUALITY OF MERCHANDISE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I AND MY STAFF PROVIDED.

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...me=STRK:ME:UFS

MY CULLEY MAY BE A VERY REPUTABLE AND LONG STANDING VENDOR HERE THAT IS RESPECTED AND LIKED BY MANY, AND WITH THIS SAID, I DID NOT CALL NAMES OR IN ANYWAY SAY ANYTHING OUT OF LINE OR IN POOR TASTE. I STATED ONLY WHAT HAPPENED ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY WITH ME.
JUST BECAUSE IM NEW TO THE FORUM DOESNT MEAN I HAVENT DONE BUSINESS IN THE PAST WITH THIS COMPANY. I CERTAINLY HAVE. IT ONLY MEANS IM NEW TO THE FORUM.

LET ME ALSO ADD THAT IVE HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIANCE WITH A PARTS REP. NAMED JEREMY. EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND VERY WILLING TO ANSWER QUESTIONS BEFORE I PLACED MY ORDERS, AND YES, I SAID ORDERS.
IVE ALWAYS BEEN TREATED EXCEPTIONALLY WELL BY THE GREAT STAFF OF THIS COMPANY.

AS FAR AS RESOLVING A PROBLEM WITH MR CULLEY BEFORE I POSTED ANY NEGITIVE REMARKS, HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO RESOLVE SOMETHING THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE QUALITY OF GOODS, BUT RATHER THE WAY I FEEL I WAS TREATED.
I DID APOLIGISE FOR BOTHERING HIM, THANKED HIM FOR HIS TIME AND SAID I WOULD POST MY EXPERIANCE WITH HIM ON THE FORUM.

ALTHOUGH I SAID I WOULD NOT POST ON THIS THREAD AGAIN, I FELT THE NEED TO.
THANK YOU....

I'm not going to take the bait and click your eBay link. This seems like an inopportune time for self promotion. I will take you at your word that you are a fine, upstanding citizen and a business person of the highest moral character.

no self promotion intended at all. the link was only to the feedback forum. ill remove the link, so that any thought of self promotion is eliminated completely. my feedback of over 800 reflects a rating of almost 100% positive.
