I think most of the guys that challenge us just want to see what your vette can do. I dont think they think their car is faster. When I was a kid I had a 71 Mach 1. Thats right a mustang with a stock 351w. I messed with 440 cudas and 454 chevells just to see and admire their performance. The early and late 60's vette owners wouldnt street race because they had nothing to prove and we all new what a 396 or 427 would do to us. Most of us have a vette because it impresses us, not somebody else. Please do not street race. There are alot more cars on the road these days. I would hate for somebody to crash into me and my family because a vette had to show some 4 banger he had the faster car.
