Default 402 w/ L92 heads & L76 Intake build UPDATE

****UPDATE***

Phil just PM'd me while I was posting this. The engine is in. He's just waiting on a head gasket and pushrods which will show up in the morning. We only received 1 gasket and the other is being overnighted along with the pushrods.

I took a while to get all the parts together for this build but Phil (phil97svt) is finalizing the build and will get it fired up this weekend.

Here's what we're doing.

SDPC LS2 402 2cc pistons
L92 heads - setup for 12:1 SCR 8.8:1 DCR
L76 Intake

Cometic head gaskets
Comp 921's
Trend .110 wall thickness pushrods
Bret Bauer cam spec'd for my setup cam
RAM Dual disc clutch and Aluminum Flywheel
American Racing 1 7/8 headers
42 lb Green Top injectors
Revised Cadillac Racing lifters - Good for 8k RPM
GM Performance oil pump porte and shimmed
etc
etc
etc
We're replacing every moving part.

Assembly/Installation and SD tune by Phil Thomas aka PHIL97SVT

We're going for some BIG under the curve numbers.

It's not going to be 742RWHP like your car , but it should go pretty good nonetheless.

Kevin, I can only imagine the anticipation. Just a few more days. Probably going to be the longest weekend you've had in a long time. Can't wait to see what kind of numbers you get.

We had a little miscommunication - my fault. I had SDPC send the head gasket to Phil's work and he thought I had sent it to his shop..

Phil managed to talk the GM to coming back to the dealership at 9:30 tonight so he could get the head gasket out of the locked up parts department...

Thanks Phil for going the extra mile on this so we didn't loose the weekend.

Thank the GM for me also.

Cool. I'll have the heads, cam, FAST, pushrods, ls6 valley pan, injectors ready for you when you get here. You're going to love the power when you get this stuff in the vert.

The other board has over 4600 views of the post about this build. I get 10 pm's a day asking about it. I guess people here are more interested in the lastest blackout kit.
