Here is a photo of the exhaust system removed from my 03 Coupe. (except for the exhaust manifolds and rear tailpipe section). The catalytic converters are the two large items that look like small mufflers toward the upper left of the picture. The flanges at the lower right of the picture connect to the rear portion of the exhaust system. This is the portion that gets replaced by aftermarket catback systems.
I was in the process of getting a full Dynamax Long Tube exhaust system. I already had the Borla Stinger catback system on the car. You knowledgeable folks will note that it lacks the stock H-pipe. I had the Bassani X-pipe installed earlier. Hope this helps a little...
