Just so everyone knows the six shooter is now available without a core required. They have employed more folks to man the phones and computers, so response should be quicker. They never expected this kind of response on their new shifter and therefore were not set up to handle all the calls/e-mails.

Default Completed Anti Venom Mod.....WOW!

Did the mod today with my HURST installed. What a difference. Just about all of the hard notchyness is gone. I still can feel a little and that is what I wanted. Shifts much easier and smoother. My spacer thickness ended up being a 1/8th thick nylon oil plug gasket plus a standard thin copper washer. Very easy mod to do.

I have the Hurst also, There are two models or more of the Hurst.
One has a two piece stick that bolts together. This one tends to rattle
Another is The Hurst Billet one piece asssembly. This is the one I Have, Rigid and solid, But once It breaks in It's smooth, Short and Quick.
I love It!

Ed, thanks for getting back with us on the info on the Hurst with the Anti-Venom mod! Sounds like this is the way to go for those with aftermarket shifters that consider them a little too tough to row.

Interesting mod info. Why doesnt the manufacturer either fix the problem or include the washer with their shifters to fix the problem?

First, It is not the shifter manufacturer's problem. You know that the short throw shifters are going to be a little more difficult to shift because they do not have the leverage the OEM shifter does. Second, everyone probably has a little different "feel" for how they want their aftermarket shifters to work. Some like the notchy feeling, some like a little or none. The shifter manufacturers would be hard pressed to supply the range of spacers for all of us. Finally, with my mod I took approximately half of the notchyness out of my Hurst shifter.
