Default Valve Stem Caps Theft

Did a search but came up empty on this problem. In the three years I've owned my C5 I've had one or more of my valve stem caps stolen on several ocassions. Keep in mind these aren't the fancy C5 logo caps, just the original plastic ones. It's disturbing that someone is bold enough to approach my car on the few times it's left unattended. Minor? Yes, but it still pi**es me off!

I know how you feel. I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. And it was just the cheap ones you buy at Wal-Mart, not the nice ones with the logo on it. Just hook up a car battery to all of your wheels and the next time the touch them

I've had mine removed a few times. I thought about making some that go on / off with a phillips driver that would have razor edges on the side. Then I could look for the neighbor that started doing things left handed.
Let me know if you find something.

If the guy/girl needed them that bad... I would just give them to them. Feel lucky that nothing else was disturbed

Put a small dab of $hit on each one. Then, if they take one, you'll still be out a valve stem cap but damn if you won't feel better.

I had all 4 C-5 Logo caps stolen. Only had them for one month. Ordered another set and tightened them with a small wrench so it's impossible to remove them by hand. I keep the wrench in one of the trunk compartments.

This used to happen to me with at that time a '80 Caddy Seville. Allways happened at work (fenced and gated government instalation) And don't think it was ever kids. My only guess was motorcycles and people who owned them.

Get some "chromies" and then tighten them on a with a wrench, so that there is no way anyone can get them off with their fingers.

I feel that people should actually work for what they get and that stealing is bad.

I donate to several charities but I pick which ones. Thieves and welfare cases **** me off.
