Default Right tire sensor Problem

I changed my oil and both front O2 sensors today. While taking it for a test drive after completion the dic said that my right front tire was flat? I stopped and check the pressure and it was fine. I checked the dic again and I was not getting a right front tire pressure reading. All of the other tires were showing the correct readings. When I got home and shut the car of the dic said somethong like manual tire something??

Has anyone come across this before? I have done a search, but couldn't find any write ups on it? Thanks John

I guess the 1st thing to do is, try reprograming the sensors. If that does not work, well, try to look for something you broke while you were under the car.

I'm sure I've read instructions on how to reprogram the sensors. You might try to do a search on the subject and see if anything comes up.

One thing to be aware of: It usually takes a few minutes after putting air in the tires for the sensor to update and have it show on the dic.

How old is your car? The sensor could have a dead battery.

I could be wrong but I think the way the system works is that each sensor transmits the pressure to a central unit which is then displayed. If so, one sensor going out suggests its a local problem to that sensor. The life of the battery is supposedly 5-7 years so it could be coincidental that it failed at the same time you did the other work.

The only option I know of is to reprogram the sensors. If that doesn't work it'll be a sensor change. BTW they are specific to certain model years so make sure you get the right one (forgive the pun)

Try to reprogram your sensors and see if it comes back online. If not, then it may be a dead sensor and replacement may be in order.
