It's a rocker panel. You do not want to replace it if you don't have to. It'll have to be cut off as it's glued to the body. It forms the entire door shell and to properly remove, the entire rear of the car needs slid back. Start looking at connection points. It's a mess.

I've always called it a rocker panel - maybe because it gets hit by so many rocks.
