Well today I installed new rear O2 sensors. After install it was loading up for about the first 3-5 miles then the motor seemed to settle down. Then for the next 10-15 miles it drove just like it did before the headers were installed. The back of the car still had the black stuff but not nearly the amount I expected and it could have been from the initial 3-5 miles where it was loading up.
Now what are the repercussions of running to rich? Should I change the oil, or take any other preventative measures?
Bob
New rear O2 sensors wont do anything. They just report back to the computer whether or not the Cats are working right.
The front O2 sensors are the ones that control the A/F ratio.
Just get your oil changed after you figure it out.
Well looks like another trip to the auto parts store. I just drove it again and it was loading up. Like you just said GP the rear O2 dont do much
