Default GPS Mounts

Received a Magellan 6000T for Christmas for my o4 Commemorative. I really like the new GPS and I am looking at mounting it in the dash area or in the cupholder instead of using the windshield mount. Checked on the internet with the Pro Clip mounting system. Would appreciate any comments or pictures on GPS mount in C5's, particularly Magellan's.

Thanks
Mike

I've got an AVIC X1 now but I started with an IPAQ fitted to a proclip mount.

Its good but its down out of the line of sight. You need to take valuable time away from the road to use it. My suggestion would be to stick with the heads up mount. Keeps the display in the scan pattern.

Try eBay, normally lots if them.

I got a cup holder mount there, works great in the Corvette. Bought a second one and extended the shaft so it is taller to work in our Trailblazer. Use a vent mount in my Monte Carlo.

I like the window mount as it keeps your head up.
