Although I have not been a CF member long, I have enjoyed the association. I have sold the C5 that I had, to go back to my first love, Street Rods. I feel that I passed the car along to an A1 Corvette man. Here are a few pics of my new ride!
From a fellow street rodder, sorry to see you go. I've got a '37 Chevy coupe that shares space with my Z06. It ain't easy having two cars like these, not only financially but time-wise also. The rod I've had in many stages over a very long time. I originally bought the hulk in 1980. It took a long time but eventually got it to magazine quality. Not having to put major bucks into it anymore, it's paid for and I was eventually able to get a Vette, too. The Z06 is now my second Vette, but if one of them had to go, well the rod I built myself, The Z can always be replaced. I understand. Have faith and perserverence and hopefully you'll be back owning both. Good luck, and nice car, too!
Interesting how we all live our lifes--I had the street rod of my dreams for 10 years, a 29 tudor model A, chopped, Ram Jet 350, dig dash, a/c , etc, etc. I bought my 2nd Vette in 2003 ( sold my 78 Indy Pace Car in 93 to finance the rod)' this one is a 2000 red convert and man, do I luv the car. So, after 10 years of building and owning my street rod, it's been sold ( got $44k for it so it was/is a nice car) and the C5 remains and I'm not regretting it a bit. After I bought the C5 the rod didn't get used and I'm a firm believer in if ya own them, drive them! Enjoy the rod, I know how much fun they are too. Good luck, Ron
