Default Lets see those in dash Navigation Systems

The title pretty much says it all. I would like to have MP3 capibliity in my car, so if i am going to swap out the head unit i might as weel go all the way.

I'm just guessing but looks like an AVIC-N2.

I have the AVIC-N1 in my truck and I like it. When not in use it does not look flashing. Just looks like a regular stereo.

Pioneer AVIC here too. Mine's an X1R (euro) but I think the latest of this line is the N3 in the US. The advantage is that its a 1.5 DIN unit so it fits in the existing gap. The downside is that it covers the AC vents. You can move it down by swapping out with the HVAC.

Yes. it is a Pioneer AVIC N2 with all the usual add-ons - iPod interface etc.

This would be mine..............Kenwood DDX-6019, Nav, and Sirius. Closed in the bottom part and installed a 12v power port and my laser defuser controls.

Holy crap,Tony! it's 22F in Alberta, That's COLD this year. Here in Jersey it hasn't got below freezing yet. BTW great Nav.install.

Yes, I moved the HVAC stuff down about 1/2 of an inch and then eliminated the door over the lighter.

Heh no that is Celsius................HOWEVER a cold front came through lastnight and currenty at 10:46 AM is -26 celsius with the wind chill, which is approx -15 Farenheit. Needless to say the car has been parked since early Oct and will remain so until probabaly March'ish

So all you guys that put the double din indash DVD players had to modify their dash and what not to make it fit? What was the exact prosess. Because I was planning on doing this as one of the first modifications.
