Personally I like the Black motorsport wheels on vettes period. The chrome ones look goods too. But I have heard of a few having problems with the chrome flaking off.

If you do decide to go with either wheels Ilisted, Tom Z is the man to buy from.
I got my Black Motorsport wheels shipped to my door for $500

If that's your car in the picture, I say it looks great the way it is.

Definitely hold out for what you really want. The stockers are not an eye sore by any means. Save up and call CCW. Then you can choose some wider tires too .

Be patient and save up for what you really want. Keep an eye out in the parts for sale section. I bought mine from a fellow forum member and saved a ton of cash.

I agree - get what you really want. Don't buy a set of wheels and then regret it. If you like the CCWs, save up and get a set. They are awesome wheels. Nothing wrong with the C6 Motorsports though.

Go with the BBS LM's, a member has been trying to sell for $1500.... They were one of the first aftermarket wheels made for the C5 and it's a classic look.....

I paid $3K for these brand new....
Good Luck...

why spend spend $1500 on wheels/tires when you'll still be wanting another set only you've got that much less money saved up.

You will be glad you did and the weight is much lighter than those knock off rims.

You stated the first rule ..

If you cant afford them dont pull the trigger.

Go into debt for fancy wheels ??

You will never be able to keep up with the latest in the wheel fashion world.

Be very careful of cheap wheels.... they weigh a TON ! You will feel a performance drop in your car. I sure did ! I sold my aftermarket wheels after only 1 week. I just could not get over how much performance I lost going to aftermarket cheap wheels.

I decided to have my Z06 wheels painted/clear coated the color I wanted. My car felt quicker and more nimble again All for only $400 tax included. I like the look.

I got he Zo7 wheels in the GP. Great wheels for $1,000 and look really good. Not too heavy, I think the weights are now posted in the GP thread. However, I spent $1,640 (Ps2's 275/35/18 and 305/30/19)for new rubber and $100 for mounting. So wheel costs should not be the only concern. BTW, these wheels are perfect offset for the C5, great fitment. Wider tires/wheels look great and perform well also.

I use to always make the mistake you are about to make, buying wheels that i thought were okay because i couldnt afford or want to save up for the wheels i truly wanted. Everytime I bought them I would be happy at first but then a month or 2 later i would already be looking at a different set of wheels and want to change them once again. That finally changed a few months ago when I said F it, and pulled the trigger on a set of used Iforged wheels. I havent looked back ever since and the thought of changing rims never crosses my mind.
