Finally got to meet Jim and Darla at the National Corvette Homecoming last year. You'll never meet nicer people! And what a car!!

He actually took pictures of my car. (I thought that was so funny-and complimentary- It's just a plain ole vanilla white C5. )

to Z06-Jim!

Oh, does Jim have a car? Oh, yea...I hardly noticed it cause it is soooo subtle. (I know I"m not supposed to covet....but it's hard not to with that gorgeous mechanical animal of his!) Seems like a nice guy and a wonderful Vette.

Alright, I was going to leave this one alone, but as long as we are all telling Jim stories, here is mine.

I was at Carlisle, maybe two or three years ago, and I had my son Taylor with me. He just turned 10 so he was maybe six and a half or 7 and a half. He is a major motor head and likes to look at the pics of Corvettes on the CF.

He about fell down when we walked across Jim Z06 at the show.

Now we had had quite a full day already. Pizza, soda, ice cream... and as most kids do he had some of it all over himself.

Jim looked him up and down, obviously saw what was going on and asked Taylor if he wanted to sit in his car. I said thanks, but perhaps another time. Without batting an eye, he gave Taylor a little nod towards the car and he jumped right in the driver seat.

My son still talks about being able to sit in one of the coolest Corvettes he has ever seen.

I guess the kicker is that I had never meet Jim before, so we were complete strangers...

Great Guy,

...but now I feel Gay

Peace
Chip

I met Jim at Funfest this past year and he was/is a great guy. He took a picture of me with my plain ole Pewter Vette after the Bullet install and then emailed it to me when I got home. And nothing beats seeing his car in person!

I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting and visiting with Jim at several shows, he is truly a genuine nice guy. Always has a smile and a kind word for everyone he meets, in todays world, he is one of a kind.
I'm proud to be able to call him a friend.
And what do ya say about the car ?

Met him @ the car show on Beale in Memphis. He was just as cool as his vette. It's always a pleasure to hold conversations with someone who loves vettes as much as I. Stay cool Jim.

Ok, what makes Z06 Jim differents from other members here. I'm new here but have been ready post here for about 6 months or so. The only time I ever see him post anything good about others is when they are talking about him or his car, I call this having a big head. Yes I think he as a nice car but it has went to his head. As one member said in his post Z06 Jim will away talk to you about his car hay it all about his car and him. I have seen a lot of good members here with every little post and no one talks how good they are. but let someone have 10,000 post and alot of you treat them as some type of god. Life is more then a car.

Nope... Sorry. Not right. If you'll notice alot of the folks that have posted here have actually met him. He's a true Kentucky gentleman and a great Corvette ambassador.

You need to do a post search.

Are you a sock puppet?? Your profile says you joined yesterday.

Man! Do you even have a Vette? It sounds like you don't even have a friend. You're missing the whole point of the thread.

I'm sorry, but you're way off on this one. I've never met him, nor have I EVER seen him boast about his car. I have also never seen him say a negative word about anything for the year I've owned my C5.

Since you just have 7 post and didn't fill out your profile 1badz064me, not many people here will put much weight in your opinion. This forum, and almost all members of it, are here to help each other any way they can. Z06 Jim is one of the finest members we have. He is a friend of mine, both on the forum and in person, and I can promise you he is nothing like you described. The people on here who know Jim, and the one's who know him personally, know how special of a person he is.I can't understand why you would take the time to make negative comments about someone you don't know.

This is what I'm talking about, First of all JB666 you need to do a search every car show he goes to he takes about 10 pictures and half of them is his car. Second blkchipc5 yes I own a 2002 red Z06 I bought new. This is what I'm talking about, if this would of been a less know member no one would of replyed to my post. you guys are all about 10 members here and no one else matters. Z06 jim would not even talk to any of you if you did not start it and then it would have to be about is car. All I'm trying to say is give other members hear a chance to.
