I get this treatment. You spend more time with your car then me. You spend more money on your car then me etc.
But when I spend money on her car to upgrade it, she cant wait until I tear it apart and spend hours and hours on it.

She's OK with it, it's my treat/reward so I can do as I please, as long as it doesn't interfere with the kids, and of course I agree with her on that, otherwise I'd hear about it!

My wife "gets it". She understands, in fact she shares most of the things I do with the car with me - with one single exception.....I do the detailing and cleaning solo. But everything else - cruises, shows, social events, modding, etc........she condones it. I couldn't have the car without her buy in - and I'm very grateful for it.

My last mod cost me 9200 and my wife asked me how much I spent.... I responded,,, are you sure you want to know. and she said Yes. I told her and her response was..... It does not bother me how much you spend on your car I know how much pleasure it brings you.... and to think I found her on match.com.//.. she wants to get me a supercharger for my bday... gota love it... and

My wife has put up with my addication to the Vette since MAY of 05.She stuck by me when I had MAJOR ISSUES with my 91 coupe that nearly broke our pocketbook. After we got past that she ENCOURAGED me to look for a newer VETTE with her BLESSINGS.(I traded for the 98) She knows the VETTE is my STRESS reliever from my job which requires alot of O.T. and time away from her and my family. She enjoys our once a year alone vactions to FLORDIA (in the VETTE )and encourages me to go to our CRUZ IN'S during the year.She has put up with more than I am worthy of for 23 years and I am TRUELY BLESSED to be married to her !!!!

My hubby finds it amusing. Sometimes I get the rolly eyes 
when I start taking about the car too much, but for the most part, he fully supports my addiction.
My twin sons on the other hand think it's totally weird that their mom drives this kind of car, so they razz me a lot about it.

Look at my Avatar and there's your answer. I too met her on Match.com. One of her profiles was a "gearhead". She flipped when she saw my '86 and the '03 was my wedding present to her. She and I fight over the catalogs when they arrive to see what we can spend on "her" car. I'll have to admit, my '86 is getting neglected but the '03 is more fun right now.

I'm 55 and my wife of 36 years knew exactly what she was getting into. I've been a fast car guy all of my life. My wife also shares in the passion and in fact owns her own C4, that's hers in the avatar next to my C5.
