ahh, you guys calm down. I'll come around in my shifter cart and put all of you in your place. Seriously, a love of cars is a love of cars. Everybody can't afford a vette and I assure you that there are many talented drivers in much less of a car that could leave some of you behind in the twisties.
Doc E.
Thats about the only thing I having a hell of a time catching on the tracks!
why do we need to slam anything? with the exception to slow, wanna be fast, imports
we are all made in the USA here and i own a mustang mach 1 and love the car, is a great run stock for stock with a Fbody
that being said..... i pick up my 02 Z06 tomorrow
I wouldn't slam imports if I were you either unless you want your lunch handed to you. I have owned a lightly modded '94 T/A that ran high 13's, a lightly modded '00 WS6 that ran low 13's, a stock '05 WRX STI that ran 13.1's all day long (gotta love the ease of AWD launches), and finally my '01 Z06 that runs mid 12's stock. My point is that I think highly of all of these cars and to me speed is speed. Believe me, you don't even want to race a bolt-on Dodge Neon SRT4 in a stock Z06 and expect to walk on it. I learned the hard way! Which is why my quest for more power has started!
You think that since you ride a bike, you havent met a driver with enough talent to out pace you in the twisties?
Man have you got some learning to do.
And dont even think for 1 second I don't know what I'm talking about. If you'd like I can show you a pic of NO chicken strip's on my hayabusa, RC51, VFR, OR cbr600rr.
The problem here is that you actually think that means something. They don't hand out professional racing licenses based on thinking you know what you're doing. The average street squid doesn't stand a chance. Go get a racing license, race for a few years, then get an expert license (for the record I was promoted to expert in one season), qualify for a pro license, get on TV, amass a jam packed trophy room, have a major motorcycle manufacturer use your name/likeness in an ad to sell the motorcycle you're racing, then get back to me.

Never, ever think that you can walk a 4th gen f-body especially if your stock. First, those cars (SS and WS6) put down on avg 320-330rwhp in stock form. Second, just like us most are not stock anymore. I had a WS6 prior to my Z and in a straight line it was equal with the few mods I had (Hot cam, headers and 4.10's). Awesome cars they are.
cept they are heavier than the Zo-6 stock to stock equal driver's is aleast 10 cars or much more.
Have had 3 ls1's I know.SS needs a lot to stay with a Z on the roll.
Do the moderators just pick and choose which street racing threads to lock? I had one locked last year, locked pretty quick too...? Mine was close to what this thread is, no mention of speeds, just an open stretch of road..... Let's be fair moderators, lock one, lock them all

No thanks, I'm perfectly happy with my regional and national SCCA wins, and instructor cert.
Cool...now that I'd be more than happy to see a picture of.
Yeah me too. My trophy's are all up at my home in Oregon, and I dont have any digi photos of them or the car I used.
I still instruct, and do some racing here and there. The ride was an 85 camaro (with 95 Lt swap, 6 speed, and rear end swap), in ESP class. Which I no longer own after getting into the turbo 4 cyl phase I went through...
Yet another story where someone who owns a Z06 has missed the point of the car. It is a production road racer, not a dragster. In a corner a craparo would kill himself trying to follow you.
Wanna bet..cornering is what I build mine for..Ive seen many a Z3 or M3 disappear in my rear mirror going around curves... a vette..would be just another victim. Z28's stock can do .9g's on a skid pad....their great cars if set up right...
