My thing with it being under 21 is that it would be a dry event. For a lot of you all a night at a bar, club, or parties that all include alcohol is just what the doctor orders every now and again. I know that you all are responsible but there's always temptation and barriers that we can't get over when it comes to things like that. An event like this would give us a time to socialize with our peers in a specific bracket, those unable to drink, and have a good time without those influences.
Events from all over the country that I've looked at in the different regions can involve us, but there are trips/events that can't. Trips to the vinyards for wine tasting is one example. What's one event for this age group? I'd say if one person per state could make it (and I know there are more than that that qualify) then it would be a success in my mind.
It's not all about an age thing it's also about the limitations based on age. I should've put that into the first post but didn't think about it.

Thanks for the kind words though. I'm glad I put my idea out there at least. I learned a valuable lesson.... don't alienate the old dudes JUST KIDDING!!!!!
although i understand you can't drink, and that separates you from the 21-25 year olds most of the time, however in the car world there aren't a whole lot of car events that involve drinking! in fact i wouldnt want to attend one, so i dont see any need to make the age cut off based on alchohol...
oh well, i guess i have to face it. im getting old
I think its a great idea and all, but I dont know how well the turn out would be. I'm only 16 and Id be happy to do it, but then again, Im the only person under 25 with a Corvette around here.
I'm sorry, but i don't understand why you'd do that. Yyou've obviously never been to Cruise in... where everybody there acts like they're 18.
I think one of the best experiences with owning my Corvette has been the networking, and the people i've met. I think the older folk are who add a lot of that maturity to the corvette crowd, and i really appreciate that.

its a good idea to just get together with the younger guys though. A couple of us ages from about 21-35 go out sometimes to the city and we dont come home till the sun comes up a lot of times.
Here might be a better idea. At your local events, im sure they are younger guys that you meet up with and just go from there. ask there if they would want to get together sometime. Your region section is a great place to get things organized as well.
Gee I guess at 25 I'm old now The cool thing about the vette is that it brings together people of all ages. The local scene here is great... you've got people of all ages. I found that it's much more fun if you just do general car stuff, and don't make it brand or age exclusive.
Around here we have mod parties at my house almost monthly... people from all parts of the car scene from imports, to stangs, to lowriders come over, hang out, and turna wrench or BS.
Then everyone cruises over to the local car hangout at Jenro's for some fun.
Here's the perfect summary pics for what Corvette ownership means to me...
Young and old... fat and skinny... ugly and handsome.... all together for one thing... making fun of Gary (GBVette) and trying to ruin Tom's (Y2kvert4me) car
Thanks for the kind words though. I'm glad I put my idea out there at least. I learned a valuable lesson.... don't alienate the old dudes JUST KIDDING!!!!!
Sure didn't alienate me at all! And at 47 my days of staying up till the sun comes up are long over. (Wait a minute, I have to do that when I'm working sometimes. Darn... )
Have fun, and hope you find enough young guns for the club!
Well, I don't think he understands that we are not old, we are "more expereinced."
As some have mentioned, this is not just a bunch of car lovers, but greta people that enjoy one another's company and that includes, drinks, driving and laughing.
You guys do what you must, but be smart about it and safe.

I know you're not all old; you all are......... wiser, more intelligent, more versed in the ways of the world, a plethora of information that's on tap for all of us younger generations to learn from, but not old.
It's fun to network with people of your own age every now and again though. Surely some of you all can appreciate that?
