nice car for a Ford though, I always liked the Saleen packages - assuming it's more than stripes and spoilers....

his car is 612rwhp?? lol whoa! What tires are those by the way? Kuhmo's? I don't know how people put those power levels to the ground. my 01z only has a vram right now and 1st and 2nd sping like crazy and when its cold...forget about it...merging on the highway yesterday put the peddle down in 3rd gear and the tires just spun and the car went sideways at like 60mph. Couldn't imagine trying to control DOUBLE that power unless I had big slicks on the back.

Thanks Kevin! I've had this truck a couple of years and no snow yet. Actually, we get very little here in Mississippi and when we do it's like watching people drive bumper cars......... The good thing about no snow is that we don't have to take our nice cars out of service for extended periods. I drive the Z on nice days year round As you know, these cars love cold air............... Mike

Those tires were Pilot Sports in 335, I took them off and put on Nitto 555rs. The PS would break loose at 120 so I have to run drag radials on the car

I was just out in SF last week and it is a beautifull place. The only problem that I can see for you is that your 30 minute commute is probably 5 miles . Just kiddin. When I was out there I rented a (cough cough) Mustang. It was a real POS but I went across the bridge into Marin county looking for Muir woods. I got a little lost and ended up going all the way around it on a road, that all I can say was the most beautifull and fun road I have ever driven on. This road was about 10 to 15 miles of twisting, rising and falling, turns with beautifull senery and very few guard rails between the road and a very very long downhill. All I could think of when I was driving on that road was " I wish I had my Z06 right now". The Rustang just gave me an anoying moaning motor sound when I gave it the gas although it did handle fairly well.
I wonder if you could do me a little favor and take your Z06 out onto that road and record the ride? It would surely be an all time favorite for all on this sight. I hope you know the road that I am talking about? If not I will try to describe it better because you have to drive that road.

PS. I wish I could rent a Z06 out there for my next trip to the bay area.

Ok, here we go. This is my winter beater.

1994 Civic EX 5 Speed w/ 176k miles Factory Equipped 4 Wheel Disc & ABS Brakes

Mods are:

Seibon C/F Hood
AEM CAI
Megan Racing 2.25" Cat Back
Megan Racing Header
17" Enkie Wheels/Kumho Ecsta Tires
Tein 2" Drop Springs
KYB GT2 Struts/Shocks
20% Window Tint
Projector Headlights
JDM Fog Lights
Led Tail Lights Smoked Lenses
RotorPro Dimpled/Slotted Rotors

My 1st manual car, besides my Camaro, was a 95 Civic just like it. It's not a bad car, gas mileage is great. I got it for $2k about 7 months ago or so in pure stock form. Except the paint which is a custom color I guess. Just put a new radiator, water pump, timing belt, and drive belts. Plus all the other mods. This car will run another 100k miles easy. Edelbrock just released a emmisions legal intercooled single turbo kit for around $3k. If I keep this car, I might descide to do it. My buddy has a turbo Si that's pretty damn fast.

But yes, it's a little ricey. But I just can't drive a stock car!!

1990 Plymouth Laser RS-Turbo here. It'll be my brothers car once the winter leaves. Fun little car, although turbo with FWD means no traction. The bottom end is forged with low compression pistons. Capable of 20psi with the turbo on there now, but no front mount intercooler means no boost.

89 Corvette is my most of the time beater. We don't have much of a winter here. If I drive the Z06 once or so per week, it seems brand new every time I get in it. Also my Z06 has no hood as of yet and it attracts a little attention. If I'm going to beat off I prefer to do it in a Corvette!
