Excessive sulfer in gas probably comes from an oops at the refiner and can affect many different brands including the top tier vendors. I have know of an occurence where many cars in a geographical area were impacted by such an oops and the state attorney general took the refiner to court to get them to pay for the damaged fuel gauges. If you started having fuel gauge problems after visiting a certain station it is probably a good assumption you are not the only one that was affected.

Bill is correct.

It is a good idea to change brands frequently. Differnt additives can clean the engine in differnt ways. The same fuel with the same additivesall the time may not be a good thing.

Normally all fuels in the same City come from the same tank farm and the differnt additives are added at the stations.

Correct, gas sold at the track is "off road use" this gas does contain lead. It is posted on the pump.

I'm pretty sure "Race Track" refered to in the first post is a brand of service station in certain areas of the country, not race gas at the track.

If you go to www.toptiergas.com they show a list of those stations. Unfortunately, I can't find any of those in NJ. Guess they don't want to deal with the NJ BS.
