So this morning I woke up to find out that someone egged my corvette. It pisses me off knowing that people get jelous and have so much envy towards me. Maybe it's because I'm an 18 year old high school student driving a vette. I don't know. What I do know is that it's destruction of private property. What should I do. I'm not going to sit around and not do anything so I need a few suggestions. I don't think the police will take this too serious, So I'm looking for a different alternative. Any suggestions?
If you have an idea who did, let the Police investigate the matter. If you do take it into your own hands, it could lead to you getting in the same trouble.

Thanks waupachino. But I have no idea who it is. =(
If you dont know who did it then theres probably not a lot you can do. Just hope you got it off before its messed up your paint. Unfortunately there are a lot of jealous people out there. Ive had mine scratched, beer poured on it, and all four of my valve stem caps stolen. Not all at the same time though. If I would of found out who did any of it I would of beat the hell out of them but I didnt so all I could do was just get pissed off and do nothing.
well look on the bright side..it was only eggs...wasnt like someone threw a brick through your windshield....report it to the police......not much else you could do? park your vette inside?
That really sucks! Happened to a friend when we had a party at another friend's home for the Corvette Club. Get it cleaned off quick as it will etch your clear coat. Good luck.
As long as you got it off pretty quick, it should be okay. Birdsh*t will do the same damage if not taken off quickly. Its like they eat friggin berries with Texas Pete on it.
Sorry to hear about your incident. Hopefully the egg shell did not damage the paint. Sometimes, right where the egg makes impact with the paint you will see many small paint chips in the shape of the egg. This happended when some A-hole egged my 2003 Corvette.
I really wish you could catch these guys in the act. In my younger days I would have said let Mr. 9mm handle it, but now, if I were to catch one of these guys, I would rather enjoy the pleasure of beating them with my hands and feet (I am a second Dan in Tang Soo Do).... Funny thing is they teach us not to fight when training in the martial arts, but as John Travolta said in Pulp Fiction - you never F%@& with another man's vechile!
That kind of stuff happens to alot of different people even if they aren't eighteen and don't drive corvettes. Just be glad it wasn't anything permanately damaging.

How do you know that the person is "jelous" of your car? Maybe it was a random act, maybe they just dont like you?
Definitely clean it off immediately. Zaino helps in these situations. Unfortunately it does not sound like you can do anything else though. Good luck with the cleanup.
I wasn't able to find it just now, but somewhere around last Halloween there was a list of how to deal with many of the "nuisance" things thrown on cars at that time of the year. Very detailde directions and consequences for lots of things including eggs. Hope one of the forum siblings can locate it for you, if you need any more help cleaning up.
The person who threw it was a real scatoolie! Hope you catch them.
High school wasn't that long ago for me. Most of the time things like this happened during homecoming week or Halloween. I had all 4 of my valve stems stolen off my Acura Legend and it was also egged INSIDE my basement. Just remember, it's high school, whoever did it will brag about it.
i would set up a video camera pointing to your car at night or whenever. View the tape for the day, rewind and set up for the next night. Maybe one day you'll catch the ****'s.
It's another good reason to always keep a good protective coat of wax or sealer on the paint. When this type of thing happens or you get hit with bugs etc. they will be a lot easier to get off. The longer it sets, the harder it will be to remove them. Good luck.
This is why I dont take my car to the movies, out to dinner, to the grocery store, etc cause I will go nuts while im inside doing whatever, she stays in the garage at night and when I drive it and park it somewhere its always in sight, im just really **** I guess.
